I have an eight year old barrel horse with long pasturns. They say this is why he can't say sound enough to run consistent times. (I believe this). His left is very "laid down." I've tried Natural Balance 4 point, regular shoeing, Adequan, Actiflex (amoung others), messages, chiropractic care, rubs, injections, and lots of time off...one time for 11 months before he came back sound. I've had him x-rayed (no arthritic changes to speak of), ultrasounded (over stretched deep flexor once but it's healed now).
Any suggestions?

Thanks! I talked to a friend who does message and she said that she knew some antiinflamatory therapies to try on him. When this all started three years ago I immediately tried everything, including weekly messages because at the time, his symtoms were not isolated. I just can't keep giving him bute. If I do, I know I'll be treating ulcers. One gram does him no good and I refuse to go to two grams, ya know! Thanks again!
